Small Time Movers began in 1993, founded by Edison Cruz with nothing but hustle and heart. At just 23 years old, fresh from serving in the Gulf War, Edison moved from Chicago to Miami with one goal—to chase the American dream. He started by knocking on doors and handing out flyers, offering moving help to anyone who needed it. With grit, determination, and a deep commitment to doing right by his customers, he began building his business one move at a time.

Every job was earned through hard work, trust, and strong connections to the local community. Over time, that dedication turned a one-man operation into a respected family-run business. Edison’s wife, son, and brother joined the mission, each bringing their own pride, energy, and unity to the work.

Now with 32 years in the business, Small Time Movers continues to serve the greater Miami area with the same heart it was built on. We’ve grown, we’ve modernized, but we’ve never lost sight of what matters most—care, reliability, and treating every move like it’s our own.
